Veridian: The First 60 Days
Veridian: The First 60 Days
It was late in 2025 when SpecTec Cruise took a major step forward and rebranded to Veridian. A couple of months on, we sat down with Tom Coleman, Chief Commercial Officer, to talk about the impact so far.
Thanks for talking to us, Tom. Sixty days on, how have customers reacted to the Veridian rebrand? What impact has it had?
The response has been phenomenal, both from our customers and the wider cruise community. They’ve immediately understood what the move to Veridian represents: a future‑focused approach, renewed emphasis on technology, innovation, and speed of delivery, all of which will help drive their success.
Importantly, the shift to Veridian has also opened the door to deeper strategic conversations about building for the future and continuing to deliver through 2026 and beyond. We’re advancing AMOS‑X engagements, discussing long‑term technology strategy, and helping customers prepare for the next wave of regulatory, operational, and sustainability pressures.
Has the rebrand reinforced your position as market leader?
Market leadership isn’t defined by logos or colours, it’s built on consistent delivery. The rebrand has brought that delivery into sharper focus: the strength of AMOS across the global cruise fleet, our four decades of experience, and the speed at which we’re now moving. It also coincided with several major project deliveries that have really demonstrated our ability to deliver outstanding outcomes for customers.
The transition to Veridian has also clarified our role in the ecosystem, as the trusted digital backbone for safe, compliant, and efficient fleet operations. With over 70% share in cruise asset management software and deep partnerships across maintenance, data, and integrations, that leadership is clearer than ever.
What have the first 60 days as Veridian meant for customers?
This initial period has provided both reassurance and momentum. Customers see the same people, the same AMOS heritage, and the same commitment to cruise, but now with clear evidence of accelerating investment in R&D, platform modernization, and roadmap delivery.
Recent AMOS‑X releases highlight this momentum, with advancements in spares management control and intuitive maintenance planning for optimal resource usage. These improvements give customers confidence that Veridian isn’t just a new name, it’s the next phase of capability they can rely on
How is Veridian helping the industry address current pressures?
Right now, our customers are focused on several critical priorities, delivering consistent shareholder returns, meeting increasingly strict safety and environmental standards, accelerating digital transformation, and managing the growing complexity of larger, more advanced fleets.
We’re helping them turn asset management into a strategic enabler, not just a system of record. AMOS‑X delivers better data, workflows, and visibility, enabling customers to demonstrate compliance more easily, reduce unplanned downtime, control costs, and empower crews with tools designed for real shipboard operations.
So what lies ahead for Veridian?
Our goal is simple: to deliver exceptional technology experiences for our customers in 2026 and beyond. This year we’ve established a dedicated R&D function focused solely on cruise industry needs, supported by a robust, well‑invested roadmap. Our priority is to evolve AMOS‑X as the central platform enabling maintenance, inventory, procurement, and wider technical operations for the world’s leading cruise brands.
But it’s not just about new releases- it’s about helping operators standardize AMOS‑X across their fleets, integrate more deeply with connected systems, and unlock the full potential of their operational data. That’s how they’ll achieve higher levels of reliability, safety, and cost efficiency
What excites you most about where Veridian is heading?
What excites us most is seeing the impact our work has on our customers, helping them achieve stronger performance, smarter operations, and greater efficiency across their fleets. But it goes beyond individual success. Every advancement we deliver through Veridian contributes to the progress of the cruise industry as a whole, supporting its growth, resilience, and commitment to delivering extraordinary guest experiences through technology that truly makes a difference
