The Journey to AMOS-X: What to expect when moving your fleet
Moving to AMOS-X is the natural next step for your fleet, not a disruptive replacement. Because AMOS-X builds directly on top of your existing AMOS dataset, there’s no hefty migration project, no record duplication, and no need to migrate or rebuild years of operational history. This means you can modernize how your teams work while preserving the integrity of the data your business relies on every day.
AMOS-X puts your ship and shore technical teams first with a modern interface that makes daily tasks faster and easier. The focus of the move is on delivering a solution that delivers new capability, more intelligent and automated ways of working whilst importantly ensuring operational continuity and consistent user adoption.
We have worked hard to ensure moving to AMOS-X is as easy as using it. This blog outlines that journey. A simple, repeatable transition process, working collaboratively to ensure consistent adoption that delivers maximum benefit for your crew.
Supporting your fleet every step of the way
No matter the size of your fleet, moving to AMOS-X is a step-by-step journey that we take with you. We start by agreeing on a clear adoption plan with milestones, success criteria and timelines. We then collaboratively test AMOS-X with your teams in a real working environment (Ship & Shore). This gives key users a chance to see how it works, propose any changes, and build confidence in the solution before rolling it out across the wider fleet. Given the significant enhancements made we have seen this also creates a positive momentum across the user community which is important to drive broader adoption.
Once the pilot is complete and signed off against pre-agreed criteria, we then work with the you on the roll out model that best fits for the fleet. This could be a full fleet rollout approach where all vessels are moved in one go, or we can take a more reserved approach delivering groups of ships or even individual ships. This very much depends on organizational preferences, team capacity and other factors.
Whichever roll out approach is decided our technical team makes sure your teams have the support they need at every step. This could be purely advisory, or more involved, with our team providing 1st line support to field questions and provide clarifications to crew members.
Once AMOS-X is deployed and in use, we keep working with you to find ways to improve how your teams work and help them get more from the platform as your business and user needs evolve.
The same AMOS you trust, now faster and built for the future.
